Pembrokeshire organic dairy, Trioni Ltd is looking to widen its export base by making its debut at the Natural Products Scandinavia trade show (26-27 October).
Exhibiting under the auspices of the UK’s Soil Association, the family-run dairy is keen to show its award-winning Daioni range of flavoured organic milk drinks to potential customers at the show in Malmö, Sweden – the only event of its kind.
Daioni, which is means ‘Goodness’ in Welsh, is available in strawberry, chocolate, and banana flavours.
Created as a healthier alternative to fizzy drinks the award-winning Daioni has built up a diverse and strong fan base from young children to Premiership footballers.
Widely available in independent and multiple retailers, Daioni is also exported to a number of countries including Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Australia, Holland, Spain, Poland, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, and most recently China and the Middle East.
“We already export Daioni to a number of countries but the Scandinavian market is a new area for us,” explained Trioni’s sales and marketing manager, Daniel Jones.
“We are excited about attending this show as Daioni’s attributes of being organic, natural and low in sugar is a perfect fit with people’s diets in Scandinavia. The region is known for its healthy lifestyle and recent research at Lund University in Sweden has shown the Nordic diet to be particularly beneficial.”
Now in its third year Natural Products Scandinavia brings together the world of natural products, health foods, natural beauty and organic products, and attracts over 350 exhibitors and is expected to welcome more than 4,500 visitors.
Held as part of the Nordic Organic Food Fair, the event offers companies an important opportunity to meet with buyers and sellers in the sector from across the globe.
Sales of organic food products in Sweden have rocketed in recent months, seeing a 30% increase in the first half of 2014. While individual supermarkets – which account for the bulk of organic sales – have reportedly seen even higher growth during the same period.
