One of South Wales’ largest independent firms of chartered accountants, WBV Ltd, has expanded with the announcement of two new directors and an additional member to its payroll team.
The elevation of Richard Chapple and Terrance Jones brings the number of directors at the Neath and Swansea based firm to five.
WBV has also appointed Alison Court as a payroll administrator in its specialist payroll team.
The changes also mark the fourth anniversary of WBV, which was formed by the amalgamation in 2010 of established accountancy firms Watkins Bradfield and H W Vaughan.
Said Senior Partner, Philip Hunkin, “We are very pleased that the firm is expanding its senior team and we look forward to working with Richard and Terrance in their new roles. I am delighted they both have expanding portfolio of clients, and they not only bring a wealth of experience with them but also significant specialist expertise.”
Born in Neath and educated at Cwrt Sart Comprehensive School and Neath College, Richard studied Accountancy and Finance at Aberystwyth University.
He qualified in 2004 and previously worked at Ernst & Young, where he was Audit Manager in the firm’s Financial Services Sector.
Richard joined WBV in 2010 and has a broad portfolio of mainly owner managed clients of all sizes and business types. He also specialises in providing audit and accounting services to all types of trust based Occupational Pension Schemes.
Said Richard, “I am very excited about my new role and I am looking forward to playing my part in the continuing growth of the practice and working with local businesses to help them achieve their full potential.”
A member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Terrance, who lives in Gorseinon, is a former Gorseinon College student. He joined HW Vaughan in 1999 and qualified 2002.
After leaving H W Vaughan and gaining further experience in South Wales he was asked to rejoin HW Vaughan in 2007, and two years ago became an Associate at WBV.
He specialises in audit and regulatory compliance, for companies, charities and solicitors. Terrance also focuses on due diligence work, the preparation of business plans and financial forecasts for a range of clients.
Said Terrance, “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to manage and build my own client portfolio and I look forward building on existing and creating new client relationships.”
Richard and Terrance join existing WBV directors: Philip Hunkin, David Rowe and Stuart Harries.
