CYWAIN DISPLAYS CORNUCOPIA OF WELSH FOOD & DRINK AT WINTER FAIR

The Cywain stand at next week’s Royal Welsh Winter Fair (November 30th – December 1st) will be a veritable cornucopia of Welsh food and drink encompassing both land and sea.

The Food Hall at the Winter Fair is a magnet for visitors, and provides an important festive shop-window for Welsh food and drink producers.

Seven small and up and coming food producers will be featured in the Food Hall under the auspices of Cywain – a project created to bring added value to primary produce within the agriculture sector.

NEW PRODUCERS TAKE TO THE STAND IN WINTER FAIR FOOD HALL

Cywain_MainRGBThe Food Hall at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair is a magnet for visitors, and provides an important festive shop-window for Welsh food and drink producers.

This year a number of small and up and coming food producers will be featured in the Food Hall under the auspices of Cywain – a project created to bring added value to primary produce within the agriculture sector.

Many of the producers will be making their show debut, while others will be launching new products and ideas.

Seven companies will feature on the Cywain-managed stand over the two days (December 1 & 2) of the event which is this year celebrating its 25th anniversary.

WELSH BEE SCHEME AIMS TO CREATE A BUZZ AT WINTER FAIR

cywainFarmers and landowners visiting the Royal Welsh Winter Fair (December 1 & 2) will have the opportunity to discuss the benefits of a new scheme to increase the number of beehives in Wales.

The Cywain Bee project has been set up to boost honey production in Wales by encouraging farmers and landowners to place beehives on their land.

Welsh honey is much in demand, and according to Cywain Bee increasing the number of beehives could not only help the honey industry, but possibly lead to farmers and landowners achieving additional support through environmental management schemes.
